Step 8.

Mask wheel wells by placing a strip of 2-inch masking tape on the inside of the well, leaving about half of the tape bent at a 90 degree angle to receive the masking paper. Use a piece of 36-inch wide T9 premium Coated Masking Paper to close up the well tightly, by molding a large piece of the paper around the wheel well, with the swipe of your open hand. With a razor blade knife cut out the wheel well and gently push the paper in against the masking tape that has been bent down at a 90 degree angle from the attached tape.

Step 9.

Mask the hood and deck lid, and
their apertures, using 4-inch T9
premium masking papers. When the
hood and deck lid are shut, the
paint over-spray will be trapped by
the masking papers. Overspray will
not migrate inside the engine or rear
deck compartment.

Step 10.

Use windshield and rear window molding holdout tape to open up the gap between the vehicle body and the rubber molding which allows paint spray to go in behind the molding. This tape also works well around head lamp grommets etc.

Step 11.

Once the masking has been completed,
wipe down the vehicle with a degreaser,
then wipe dry, again. Make ready your
paint mixture and spray guns.
